If you are a Groton resident, interested in being active in the local, state and federal government please join with us. Help us recruit residents to run for local office, including Town Council, Board of Education and Representative Town Meeting (for more information about these, go to www.town.groton.ct.us) and to serve on local Boards and Commissions... like Library Board, Recreation, Planning and Zoning, Board of Assessment Appeals, Historic District, Shellfish etc...We raise 6-8 thousand dollars a year to conduct election related activities. All donations are welcome and appreciated.

There is a separate Democratic Town Committee for the City of Groton. Many people active there, are active in the Town as well. To contact someone about Democratic activities limited to the City of Groton call Liz Duarte at 446-0770, or Dennis Popp at 445-2537.

We meet every month on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. Please, come and meet us and find out what is going on in your town.

If you would like to be involved, please contact Betsy Moukawsher at 572-2993,
Karen Buffkin at 572-9426, Natalie Billing at 536-2558, or
Dick Metayer
at 536-2396.

We are ALWAYS looking for new members and new ideas. Your input, questions, and energy are welcome.  Please communicate with us here, or, feel free to attend any of our Groton's meetings.
